Chambers USA 2022 Recognizes Five DiCello Levitt Lawyers and Five Practice Areas

Firm receives top honors in several categories; only plaintiffs’-side litigation firm recognized in Band 1 in Illinois for the second year in a row

DiCello Levitt announces its top rankings in the 2022 edition of Chambers USA. The firm ranked in five practice areas, and five lawyers across the firm’s geographic footprint were recognized for their expertise.

Chambers bestowed Band 1 top honors on DiCello Levitt for two practice areas:  Illinois – Litigation; and Mainly Plaintiffs and New York – Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff. Chambers bestowed additional honors on DiCello Levitt for its Alabama – Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs, practice area.  Nationwide, the firm also received Chambers recognition for its Antitrust: Plaintiff and Product Liability: Plaintiffs work.

In addition to the above-listed departmental awards, Chambers bestowed the following rankings and honors on several DiCello Levitt attorneys:

Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff (USA – Nationwide and/or New York)

Chambers USA commended the group’s impressive bench in the antitrust space, complemented by DiCello Levitt’s strength in the technology sphere. Highlights include recognition by interviewees for partner and practice area leader, Greg Asciolla’s ability to “deftly represent large plaintiff classes in multidistrict class action litigation alleging market price manipulations, particularly in the financial and pharmaceutical industries, and his first-rate leadership in high-stakes complex litigation.” Greg received Band 1 honors.

Partner Karin Garvey has been described as “an experienced and thoughtful litigator. She has been in the trenches and knows how to work through complex issues.” Additionally, interviewees noted Partner Robin van der Meulen as “incredibly intelligent, always diligent, responsive and leads teams effectively.

Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs – Illinois

Adam Levitt and Amy Keller are the only lawyers recognized in this category. The practice area and Adam Levitt received Band 1 honors. Notably, Chambers USA recognized the firm as an “esteemed litigation boutique noted for sophisticated representation of plaintiffs in high-value class actions.” Interviewees provided feedback that co-founding partner Adam Levitt, “is a visionary and a superstar of the Bar.”

USA – Nationwide: Privacy and Data Security

Amy Keller has been lauded in this practice area as one of only two plaintiffs’ lawyers in the United States, amid some of the largest defense firms in the country. Interviewees described her as “incredibly successful at achieving some of the biggest settlements in the data breach area and a lawyer who excels at taking charge in the courtroom.”

USA – Nationwide Product Liability: Plaintiffs

Adam Levitt and the firm are commended as a “highly esteemed product liability group.” This includes Adam’s “expertise as a go-to plaintiffs’ attorney in the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors.”
