CHICAGO — National litigation firm, DiCello Levitt Gutzler, today announced the addition of Mary McKenna and Brittany Hartwig as associates in the firm’s Chicago office. With the addition of Mary and Brittany, DiCello Levitt continues to expand its commercial, environmental, public client, technology, product liability, and whistleblower practices.

Mary is an experienced commercial litigator who has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including products liability and environmental litigation. Prior to joining DiCello Levitt, Mary litigated mass toxic tort claims in Chicago and throughout the Midwest at an AmLaw 100 firm.
Brittany is an experienced litigator representing businesses, individuals, and public entities in state and federal courts across the United States. Prior to joining DiCello Levitt, Brittany worked for a Chicago-based law firm, representing businesses, municipalities and individuals in commercial litigation matters. She also clerked for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Special Litigation Bureau during law school.

Mary obtained her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was one of only six students selected for the Lott Leadership Graduate Exchange Program with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa, a cultural exchange focused on race and societal reconciliation in Mississippi and South Africa. Mary earned her B.A. from the University of Illinois, Urbana – Champaign. Brittany earned her J.D., from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, J.D. and her B.A. from the University of Arizona.
Both Brittany and Mary are active in the greater Chicago community. Brittany serves on the Executive Board of the Children’s Research Fund Junior Board in their philanthropic efforts to support the Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. Mary is a member of the Professionals’ Council of the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Chicago, Illinois and volunteers with Ascend Justice, Cook County Domestic Violence Courthouse, where she provides legal services to domestic violence survivors.
