Overview
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Klarna Group plc, (“Klarna,” or the “Company”) (NYSE : KLAR), certain of the Company’s senior executive officers, and banking institutions who served as underwriters for the Company, alleging violations of federal securities laws. The Klarna lawsuit is brought on behalf of all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired Klarna securities between September 7, 2025, and December 22, 2025, both dates inclusive (the “Class Period”), pursuant and/or traceable to the registration statement and related prospectus (collectively, the “Registration Statement”) issued in connection with Klarna’s initial public offering. Investors have until February 20, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff of the Klarna class action lawsuit.
Klarna is a technology-driven payments company, with operations spanning multiple countries that connect consumers and merchants with comprehensive payment solutions and tailored advertising opportunities.
The lawsuit alleges that Klarna made materially false and misleading statements and omissions of material facts in the Company’s Registration Statement. Specifically: (1) Defendants materially understated the risk that the Company’s loss reserves would materially go up within a few months of the IPO, which they either knew of or should have known of given the risk profile of many individuals agreeing to Klarna’s buy now, pay later (“BNPL”) loans; and (2) as a result, Defendants’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. According to the lawsuit, when the true details entered the market, investors suffered damages.
