Cries for help were left unheard — Frank Tyson’s family is calling for answers
CLEVELAND—Frank Tyson’s family attorney, Bobby DiCello, will join a call for justice along with attorney Ben Crump and Rev. Al Sharpton at the Celebration of Life service for Frank E. Tyson, a Black 53-year-old East Canton, Ohio resident, who died on April 18 after being handcuffed and restrained with a knee to his upper back and neck by police while crying out “I can’t breathe.”
“It’s George Floyd 2.0! Only four years after the horrific tragedy of George Floyd’s killing by Minneapolis police, yet another family faces the unimaginable tragedy of seeing one of their loved ones held down, restrained, and falling victim to excessive, deadly police violence. We stand united with Frank Tyson’s family – they need answers at a time of deep grief and despair,” DiCello Levitt attorney Bobby DiCello said.
