Norwegian Air Shuttle seeking relief against Boeing
Norwegian alleges Boeing engaged in a pattern of intentional misrepresentation and omission, gross negligence, and shoddy manufacturing.
DiCello Levitt represents Norwegian Airlines (Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA and Arctic Aviation Assets DAC) in prosecuting economic loss and equitable claims against The Boeing Company and Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited in an action arising out of Boeing’s gross negligence, fraud, and breach of contract relating to Boeing’s 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner aircraft, seeking damages in excess of $1 billion. As the complaint alleges, Norwegian ordered large numbers of both aircraft types based on specific promises from Boeing. Instead of delivering what it promised, Boeing engaged in a pattern of intentional misrepresentation and omission, gross negligence, and shoddy manufacturing, producing aircraft with substantially impaired value and utility and, in the case of the MAX, tragic and deadly consequences. Norwegian Airlines has retained DiCello Levitt to pursue its economic damages and require Boeing to take back its defective planes.
