DiCello Levitt’s co-founding partner, Adam Levitt, was quoted in the article “Bon-Ton Seeks to Join TV Ad Price-Fixing Suit,” published in the Wall Street Journal on October 9, 2018. The article highlights the nationwide lawsuit, brought by Bon-Ton Stores, accusing large media companies of conspiring to drive up local television advertising prices. Plaintiff alleges that the media companies set a “floor” for all spot pricing while maintaining “the facade of a competitive market” by negotiating with individual advertisers.
“Through their price-fixing scheme, Tribune, Sinclair, and their co-conspirators have monopolized the airwaves and extorted millions of dollars from businesses like Bon-Ton,” said Levitt.
