Mar 21, 2022

On March 16, 2022, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul and his Environmental Bureau, along with special assistant attorneys general from DiCello Levitt, Keating Muething & Klekamp, and Fields PLLC, filed a lawsuit against 3M Company seeking to hold 3M accountable for contamination caused by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”) and to compel 3M to take action to stop ongoing pollution of the environment from its Cordova, Illinois, facility on the banks of the Mississippi River.

“We are honored to be working with the Illinois Attorney General and our co-counsel in pursuing such critical environmental litigation,” said Adam Levitt.  “We are eager to restore Illinois’ natural resources and to protect Illinois’ residents and the environment by holding 3M accountable for its misconduct, as we allege in our complaint.”

The DiCello Levitt team involved in the litigation includes Adam Levitt, Dan Flynn (head of DiCello Levitt’s Environmental Justice practice group), Anna Claire Skinner, Amy Keller, and Diandra “Fu” Debrosse Zimmermann.
