Overview

A class action lawsuit has been filed against FutureFuel Corp. (“FutureFuel” or the “Company”) (NYSE: FF) and certain of the Company’s former and current senior executive officers alleging violations of the federal securities laws.  The FutureFuel class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired publicly traded FutureFuel securities between August 10, 2023, and May 10, 2024, both dates inclusive (the “Class Period”).  Investors have until August 23, 2024, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff of the FutureFuel class action lawsuit.

FutureFuel describes itself as a Delaware corporation, and, through its wholly owned subsidiary, FutureFuel Chemical Company, manufactures diversified chemical products, bio-based fuel products, and bio-based specialty chemical products.

The FutureFuel class action lawsuit alleges that Defendants, throughout the Class Period, made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose, among other things, that: (1) FutureFuel did not have adequate internal controls; (2) FutureFuel’s financial statements were misstated; and (3) as a result, Defendants’ statements about their business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all times.  When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
