DiCello Levitt continues the expansion of its Antitrust and Competition Litigation Practice Group with the arrival of Alex Barnett, the second new partner in less than a month to join the renowned practice group in the firm’s New York office.
Alex comes to DiCello Levitt with decades of experience in complex and class action litigation on behalf of consumers, public clients, and businesses injured by antitrust violations, unfair competition, and unlawful business practices. His commitment to achieving economic and social justice for his clients has earned him accolades from Lawdragon, the American Antitrust Institute, and others.
“Alex’s considerable experience in large, consequential antitrust class actions aligns perfectly with our focus on aggressive advocacy and skilled problem-solving,” said Greg Asciolla, chair of the Antitrust and Competition Litigation Practice Group and managing partner of the New York office. “He is a gifted litigator who cares for the people and businesses he represents, and we are excited to welcome him to our growing antitrust team.”
Alex served as a past president of the Committee To Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL) and currently serves as the chair of COSAL’s Antitrust and Climate Change Committee. He also served as the vice chair of Public Justice’s Food Project and, before his litigation career, as the executive director of the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists’ American section.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and St. John’s University School of Law, Alex has dedicated his time and services to numerous nonprofit and volunteer organizations, including Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, Kids Enjoy Exercise Now, New York Cares, D.C. Cares, and A Broader Image Inc. He and his wife are also active participants in the multiracial family community, speaking for and supporting organizations that work to foster understanding and acceptance of multiracial families.
