DiCello Levitt Cleveland Managing Partner Ken Abbarno Featured in Law.com Q&A About Trial Center

Apr 16, 2025

Ken Abbarno, Managing Partner of the firm’s Cleveland office and co-leader of the DiCello Levitt Trial Center, is featured in a Q&A with Law.com’s Litigation Daily editor and columnist Ross Todd. The interview spotlights the firm’s Trial Center, which launched publicly last fall as a platform for lawyers to test their cases through focus grouping, transformative storytelling, and a science-informed method of trial preparation.

Ken, who co-leads the Trial Center with Partner Bobby DiCello, spoke about the importance of understanding jurors’ lived experiences through focus groups. Last year, the Trial Center conducted 70 focus groups with nearly 1,000 participants from its physical locations in Chicago and Cleveland. Ken explained how the focus groups help trial lawyers move away from abstract concepts and focus on concrete, relatable experiences.

“The goal of these focus groups isn’t to win. Our goal in these focus groups, ironically, is to see how we lose,” Ken told Litigation Daily.
