A Georgia federal judge has allowed separate groups of consumers, payment card issuers and investors to move forward with the majority of their fraud, negligence and other claims in national class action litigation over Equifax’s massive 2017 data breach.
DiCello Levitt partner, and co-lead counsel for consumers in the ongoing Equifax litigation, Amy Keller was quoted in Law360 and Yahoo Finance. Keller, along with her co-counsel, noted that they were “pleased that the court rejected Equifax’s core arguments and concluded that Equifax owes a duty of care to safeguard the personal and financial information in its custody.”
