DiCello Levitt Recognized Among Nation’s Leading Plaintiffs’ Trial Firms in Antitrust, Civil Rights, Privacy and Data Breach, Technology, and Trial Strategy Innovation

DiCello Levitt is proud to announce that the firm has been named a finalist in five categories for Law.com and The National Law Journal’s 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards.

The annual Elite Trial Lawyers Awards recognize plaintiffs’ firms and lawyers whose work has advanced justice for clients and helped shape important areas of the law. DiCello Levitt was shortlisted in the following categories:

The recognition reflects a year of significant results across DiCello Levitt’s national litigation platform, including major recoveries for consumers, survivors, investors, municipalities, and communities affected by corporate misconduct, civil rights violations, privacy failures, and emerging technology harms.

Antitrust

DiCello Levitt’s market-leading Antitrust and Competition Litigation practice continues to deliver major results in complex, high-stakes markets. The firm helped secure $49.7 million in total settlements in In re Surescripts Antitrust Litigation, a case challenging alleged monopolization in the electronic prescription market, a critical component of the U.S. health care system. The firm also secured a $20 million recovery in In re Platinum and Palladium Antitrust Litigation after years of litigation and a key appellate victory, and played a key role in substantial recoveries in major pharmaceutical antitrust matters, including $525 million in settlements in the Generic Pharmaceuticals litigation and more than $195 million in Xyrem.

Civil Rights/Discrimination (Non-Employment)

DiCello Levitt has one of the most active civil rights dockets in the country. This year, the firm helped secure a $975,000 settlement for the family of Darryl Tyree Williams after his death following repeated Taser use by Raleigh police, among the largest Taser-related excessive force settlements in North Carolina. The firm also secured a major settlement in a fatal restraint case in Little Rock, Arkansas, involving Terence Lamar Caffey, who repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe,” while officers restrained him. The firm’s civil rights work also includes a significant ruling denying qualified immunity to an Ohio officer in a sniper-style shooting case.

Privacy/Data Breach

DiCello Levitt’s Privacy, Technology, and Cybersecurity Litigation practice continues to pursue meaningful relief for consumers whose sensitive personal information has been exposed or misused. In the last year alone, the firm served as Co-Lead Counsel in Kolstedt v. TMX Finance Corporate Services Inc., securing a $42 million nationwide settlement for approximately 4.8 million consumers affected by a data breach involving Social Security numbers, driver’s license and passport information, and financial account details. The firm also serves as Co-Lead Counsel in the Snowflake data breach multidistrict litigation, which involves breaches affecting hundreds of millions of individuals and important questions about responsibility in modern cloud-based data ecosystems.

Technology, Including AI

At the intersection of technology, privacy, and public accountability, DiCello Levitt is helping define the next generation of litigation involving digital platforms, personal data, and artificial intelligence. The firm helped secure a landmark settlement in In re Google RTB Consumer Privacy Litigation, giving millions of users new control over how their personal information is shared in online advertising systems. The firm also represents public entities in groundbreaking technology litigation, including Baltimore’s lawsuit against X Corp. and x.AI over alleged generative AI and deepfake harms and New Mexico’s case against Meta involving allegations of misleading users and exploiting personal information.

Trial Strategy Innovation

DiCello Levitt’s trial-first approach and research-driven advocacy were central to some of the firm’s most significant results of the year. In Kashef v. BNP Paribas, DiCello Levitt secured a $20.75 million bellwether jury verdict in landmark genocide-related litigation, marking the first time a U.S. jury held a global financial institution civilly liable for financing genocide. In Siqueiros v. General Motors, a $102.6 million jury verdict led to a $175 million post-verdict settlement for more than 40,000 consumers, reflecting the firm’s focus on turning complex facts into clear, compelling presentations for juries.
