Jun 01, 2023

DiCello Levitt received top honors and additional recognition from Chambers USA in its 2023 rankings. Chambers ranked four of the firm’s practice areas and six of its lawyers, placing DiCello Levitt and its attorneys among the premier plaintiff-side firms in the United States.

Chambers USA ranks the leading lawyers and law firms across the country. The legal rankings are based on in-depth market analysis conducted by an experienced team of independent researchers. Chambers USA rankings range between Band 1 and Band 6 for each area of law, with Band 1 being the highest ranking a firm or individual lawyer can receive.

DiCello Levitt received Band 1 honors for two of its practice areas—Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs in Illinois and Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff in New York. Chambers also recognized the firm for its Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs work in Alabama and for its Antitrust: Plaintiff and Product Liability: Plaintiffs practices among all firms nationwide.

In addition to these departmental honors, Chambers awarded the following rankings to DiCello Levitt attorneys.

Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff—New York and USA

For the second consecutive year, Chambers USA commended DiCello Levitt’s antitrust practice group for its “impressive bench” of attorneys, including partner and practice area leader Greg Asciolla, who received Band 1 honors and was described by clients as an “extremely strong advocate,” “very strategic,” and “a joy to work with.”

Partners Karin Garvey and Robin van der Meulen were also recognized for their antitrust work. Interviewees described Karin as an “incredibly capable” litigator with “great trial experience” and Robin as “deliberative, prudent, and smart.”

Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs—Illinois

Firm co-founder Adam Levitt and partner Amy Keller were recognized in this category for the third year in a row, with Levitt and the practice area again receiving Band 1 honors. Chambers USA described the firm as an “esteemed litigation boutique noted for sophisticated representation of plaintiffs in high-value class actions,” and interviewees characterized Adam as a “strategic thinker” who can expertly conceptualize how to formulate a case and “manage resources that are needed to prevail.”

Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs—Alabama

Diandra “Fu” Debrosse Zimmermann, who co-chairs DiCello Levitt’s mass tort practice and manages its Birmingham office, was commended for “her considerable expertise representing plaintiffs in complex litigation involving product liability claims, environmental contamination, and wrongful death.” Clients described her as a “tenacious litigator who has a deep understanding of the law and procedure” and as a lawyer “known around the country for her ability to handle complex cases.”

Privacy & Data Security: Litigation—USA

Amy Keller was again recognized among all lawyers nationwide—and as one of only a handful of plaintiffs’ lawyers—for her privacy and data security practice. She was praised for her “work in cutting-edge data breach litigation matters” and described as “an amazing lawyer who is talented and well-respected by her peers.”

Product Liability: Plaintiffs—USA
